🎥 Messy Desk Monday Debut: My First Ever YouTube Vlog!

I finally did it!! After months of saying “maybe I’ll start vlogging…” I actually hit record and uploaded my very first YouTube video — and it’s live now!

This vlog follows a dreamy little day in Venice, California, with stops at Erewhon, Burro, the Apple Doll popup (yes, they had a real vintage photobooth), and the Getty Museum to check out some incredible queer exhibits.

It ends with dinner at Great White, vintage shopping, and—of course—a little junk haul moment because I physically cannot leave LA without ephemera spilling out of my bag.

This was such a fun way to let you into the behind-the-scenes of my life and show what inspires the world of Prince of California. I wanted this vlog to feel like you were right there with us: laughing, journaling, finding weird little treasures, and falling in love with the chaos.

✨ Let’s Talk About the Washi Tape Situation

Okay. So… I had no idea you all would ride this hard for my washi tapes.

I launched six washi tapes thinking, “aww this is cute, I’ll see what happens!” and then suddenly — BAM — three of them are already sold out. Rainbow Stars? Gone. Barcode? Bye. Gem tape? Vanished into your journals, scrapbooks, and washi hoards. 😚

If you snagged one, I love you. If you missed them — don’t worry. I will be restocking everything. My manufacturer is currently going through some material changes (👀 mysterious, right?), so I’m giving them a little space to figure out their next move before I order more. Thank you for being patient while they sort it out — I promise it’ll be worth the wait - all of these tapes have been so much fun to use.

In the meantime, there are still three washi tapes available on the site! And if you're wondering: Yes, they’re 15mm x 10m, and yes, they’re so much longer than most washi I’ve bought before. I was honestly shocked when I realized how much tape was on each roll. They last forever, which is great if you're someone like me who ends up covering half their journal page in decorative stripes.
