💌 Five Little Things Making Journaling More Fun Lately

ree

I’ve been journaling a lot (for me) the past few weeks — usually from bed, surrounded by half-finished spreads, open windows, and the usual creative chaos. It’s been such a cozy little era. These are just a few things I’ve added into my routine recently that have been making the journaling process feel easier and breezier than usual.

✉️ Custom Name Stamp from Five Below

This might be my favorite $5 find ever. It’s a customizable name stamp, and the first one I made (obviously) said “PRINCE OF CALIFORNIA.” I’ve been having way too much fun with it — I even went back and bought a few more so I can make ones that say “TO:” and “FROM:” for custom gift tags during the holidays.

There’s just something satisfying about stamping things — it makes everything feel official and kind of vintage in the best way.

Five Below really popped off with this one.

💕 Reusable Sticker Book from Trinket Party

Trinket Party sent me this reusable sticker book recently (which was so sweet of them 🥹) and I’ve been loving it. It’s a small thing but it’s changed how I keep track of stickers I collect or save from packaging.

Before this, I’d find random stickers in random places months later. Now some of my sticker collection lives in one little home that I can flip through when I’m working on spreads. It’s giving “organized chaos,” and it works for me.

🎀 Washi Tape Roll Dispenser from Daiso

This was a impulse buy at Daiso, but it’s been weirdly fun to use. It holds a single washi roll and cuts the tape with a cute little rigid edge instead of having a straight or torn edge. It just makes the whole process feel more like wrapping a gift. It’s the tiny details for me — even something as simple as how the tape rips can make journaling feel special. I've been eyeing this one on Amazon too.

🖊️ MARK’STYLE Tous Les Jours Ballpoint Pen

This black ink pen has been my go-to lately. It’s bright pink on the outside and writes super skinny. It’s one of those pens that makes me want to write more because it makes my handwriting more bearable. I found it for $10 on this web shop.

i found this one at the Larchmont Village location of Shorthand in LA...(i'm pretty sure)

🎁 Pink Duct Tape

Okay, this one’s just a little nostalgic. I used to be so into duct tape crafts when I was like 14 — making wallets, bags and literally everything for all of my friends. A few weeks ago I found a roll of bright pink duct tape and had to grab it.

Now I use it in my journal sometimes when I'm not using washi or masking tapes. It feels like a tiny full-circle moment...there’s something really fun about bringing back the things that used to make you feel creative as a kid.

I guess all of these things have just been making my process more enjoyable again — not because they’re fancy, but because they make journaling feel a little lighter or more me. It’s been a fun reminder that inspiration doesn’t always come from huge ideas — sometimes it’s just a new stamp, a pink pen, or a roll of tape that makes everything click again. Fall in love with the process, and the results will follow.
